Morriston Repeats as PWSA Medal Winner

UTM Morriston (the 2022 PWSA Gold Medal Champion) retooled this off-season losing several players to age and other programs. After a long winter training, numerous practices and countless games this season the team wrapped up 2023 with a silver-medal win at the PWSA U19 Tier 2 Provincial Tournament this past weekend in Stratford. Kudos to head coach Jason Saker and his team of assistants for the continued sustained success of the Morriston program. UTM Morriston is the longest tenured UTM affiliate, wrapping up year 4. We also have great news! The team plans to be back again next year for year 5!

UTM Fastpitch is an incorporated non-profit minor sports group with the ability to operate across Canada. UTM (Up the Middle) was created in 2016 to offer new opportunities to young women seeking to play the sport of softball at a high level. Since our launch we have fielded over 25 teams, and developed partner programs in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. All UTM teams are expected to adhere to the governance provided by Softball Canada, and any provincial governing body where they are located. UTM provides tournaments in Ontario offering various age groups the chance to experience a great weekend of tournament ball.
