2022 Scholarship Program

We are happy to once again be able to offer this program to the softball community. With the return of our Summer Series Tournaments we have been successful in setting aside funds to provide some assistance to Ontario Athlete's who will be continuing to play softball (OCAA, OUS, or US/Canadian College) in 2022/2023. Our program has set aside two awards for athletes attending a post-secondary institution for the first time in fall 2022. This is one of our favorite ways to give back to the softball community for your continued support of our tournament schedule. We have two scholarship awards again, the first is exclusive to current UTM athletes and the second is open to anyone in Ontario, whether you have or have not played with the UTM Fastpitch Association does not impact your eligibility.

UTM Fastpitch is an incorporated non-profit minor sports group with the ability to operate across Canada. UTM (Up the Middle) was created in 2016 to offer new opportunities to young women seeking to play the sport of softball at a high level. Since our launch we have fielded over 25 teams, and developed partner programs in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. All UTM teams are expected to adhere to the governance provided by Softball Canada, and any provincial governing body where they are located. UTM provides tournaments in Ontario offering various age groups the chance to experience a great weekend of tournament ball. UTM partners with organizations to host these events, and share in the revenue and proceeds as a fundraising opportunity. UTM social media can be found using the handle @UTMFASTPITCH.
