(Guelph, ON) In mid August co-head coaches Mike Bauce and Scott Siyver made the difficult decision to leave the program that they had worked hard on over the last two years, to try something new. The decision wasn't made or taken lightly and after considerable debate the two decided to take ownership over a new U14 UTM program in Morriston (just a short drive east of where they have been the previous few seasons). As Co-Head Coaches Scott Siyver and Mike Bauce believe in a holistic approach to coaching, focusing on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of their players. While the pandemic prevented them from having the season they envisioned, they took the time with their current team to focus on the mental side of the game. Players also worked on their goals, learned how to score, and learned how to make mental game plays. From the very beginning of the lockdown, they were one of the first teams to have two virtual practices every week with almost 100% attendance and brought in special guests to encourage and inspire the team. They also kept their team in shape via virtual workouts with F45 Training Doon.
