(Stratford, ON) September 1st is now here, we've put together a quick summary of where and when UTM teams will be holding their 2019/2020 tryouts. To all athletes, parents about to head to one or more associations looking for a good fit for you, we wish you all the very best. To UTM players who will be looking for new opportunities, we thank you for being part of the Revolution and hope you continue playing the game as long as you can! To new players coming to a new team for the first time, we thank you for considering us and we shall make it our goal to show you what we're all about!
This season we once again have teams at the U16 & U19 level... however we have a few more locations this year then ever before. This is now our 5th fall for tryouts, and it shapes up to be the biggest and best ever. We are excited about our potential growth and we will do our best to work with our affiliate leaders to fill their rosters as soon as possible, as we know several want to play some ball in September and beyond. Here is a look at our U16 Tier 2 programs
U16 Tier 2
Stratford - Jeff Berber will be the affiliate leader for this new U16 partership program with the SMGSA. This is our 2nd such partnership with local associations as we try and build the game across parts of Ontario. Stratford has always been a good spot for fastball, and this opportunity for UTM to work with Stratford is one we are very excited about. This team will be tournament focused and run practices and exhibition games in Stratford. The group is looking for athletes born in 2004 & 2005. All positions are open at the tryouts, and the coaching team will look to fill their roster over the course of the first week. This is planned to be a Tier 2 program, so if as an athlete or parent your first focus is Tier 1, no concerns there but Jeff in the team would appreciate hearing from you as soon as you have some sense of where you will fit. September 4 6:30PM Anne Hathaway Park, Stratford ON
Durham - A new affiliate will commence operations this week in the Ajax/Whitby area. A group of coaches that have been together now for a couple seasons are coming to UTM with a desire to become a good PWSA team. Eric Heron will lead this program, and have the opportunity to work with our U19 East team as well in terms of off-season training etc. UTM is excited to have Eric and his team aboard, and we look forward to welcoming a new team of athletes into the UTM family over the course of the next week or so.
