Queen of Diamonds Runs May Long Weekend

Brantford Bobcats host the 1st ever Queen of the Diamonds Tournament Victoria Day Weekend... This new event was well received by the Ontario softball community and the tournament will be running sizable events in U12 to U19. Six events in all, given that there are separate Tier 1 and Tier 2 events at the Bantam and Midget levels. The Queen's event is also Ontario's first look at an event that plans to use the Room Roster scoring/tracking platform for keeping teams and fans informed of the scores, etc.

The other neat thing about this weekend's event is the Friday Paramount Scouting Bureau Showcase, which takes place Friday at Jaycee Park. This is a chance for players interested in being seen by an Ontario or US school to participate in a series of drills and skill exercises on the Friday evening leading into the tournament. Tournament action actually only commences with round-robin play Saturday. The long weekend allows the Brantford organization to run the playoff rounds on the Monday.

We have a tournament page for the Queen of Diamond's event and will update it with the full schedule, and attending teams mid-week.
